           Ballet                   Gingham              Blue Cord

         Dungarees                Jeans                 Gingham

           Shorts                 Pyjamas                 Denims

1968 Gregor dark "denim/jeans" and 1968 Sasha blonde "gingham".

Both Sasha and Gregor have white string to the arms and striped in the legs. Sasha has a single row of fringe/bangs and she wears her original tiny check dress. This material was used twice when the factory ran out of its usual supply, once in 1967 and again later in 1968/69.  Officially Sasha blonde "gingham" was introduced to the range in Jan 1969, however she was sold on an exclusive basis to Creative Playthings USA in the latter part of 68.  Sasha's hair is styled as it would have been when she was manufactured, Gregor's hair is almost jet black and beautifully styled; he is wearing his gold wrist tag with a plain back as they both would have done originally.

1970 Gregor dark "london" and 1970 Sasha blonde "london".

I love these two, produced for one year only in 1970 they both have white stringing in the arms and the legs.  They wear leather look clothing and look proud to be so smartly dressed.  They both have gold wrist tags with printed backs and Sasha has lovely thick bangs.

1968 Gregor redhead "shorts" and 1968 Sasha redhead "dungaree's".

Both from 1968 these two redheads are adoreable.  Sasha has a full centre parting which is in braids, this is how her hair would have been styled originally. She wears her original outfit, Gregor on the other hand came to me with no clothes his repro outfit was expertly made by Ruth Hartley who speacilises in dolls attire her website can be found at http://www.ruthsdolls.org.uk/index.htm

1968 Sasha blonde "brown cord" and 1970 Sasha blonde "blue cord".

Here are two of the first style of Sasha doll to be produced.  You can see that the eye-painting though equally beautiful is very different in style.

1967 Sasha brunette "gingham" and 1968 Sasha blonde "Gingham".

Thought it was about time we had a brunette! Here are two sweet little girls both Gingham girls a year apart. The Brunette has fringe which is pulled throught the front long layer and the Blonde has one single row of fine fringe. Also the dress styles are diffrent one being a wide Dress with more gather. This changed around 1968.

1967 Sasha Redhead "Ballet" and 1969 Sasha blonde "jeans".

Sasha Ballet was produced from 1967 till 1969 she wore a tutu ballet shoes and a cape. The cape came in various tartans and was also produced as a dress set for the whole of Sasha production. The earlier tutu's had clear poppers for fastening compared with the later sets which had velcro fastening. Sasha Jeans wore Brown Farmpants. Later dress sets were also available in Blue.

Well here he is my very first Sasha doll; given to me when I was eight years of age by my mother. (I really wanted a Sasha Girl; but funds in our house would not run to that). I loved him anyway even though I did think he resembled a monkey for a long time. Out of all my other dolls who departed along my way to adulthood, he was the one who I kept safely in a box with my special things . It was only when I discovered Ebay that I was tempted and did eventually sell him; for a good price to a Toy museum owned by Terry and Paddy Wilding. The Toy museum situated on the Isle of Skye had suffered a terrible fire and the majority of there collection was destroyed. It was with delight that I sent him off to live with Terry and Paddy as it made him feel that bit more special to be going to a place where he would always be admired. About six months later browsing the doll section as you do (thats how it all starts!) I came across that Sasha girl I had always wanted as a child; well of course I had to buy her and can honestly say I have never been the same since.

Well a little while after my addiction began I kept thinking about my little Sasha baby and where he was and sadly yes I am going say it outloud; Was he cold!! ( now where does that come from?) . Anyway I could take no-more and summoned up the courage to email Terry and Paddy and explained my demise and asked whether they would be willing to swap me for a baby of the same year as him. Being the lovely people that they are; they said yes and I will be ever grateful to them for sending home my first ever Sasha, who although played with and a bit rough around the edges is mine and I love him. Please if you have the time do check out The Toy museum website. Terry and Paddy have informed me they have a Sasha corner and as we all love Sasha's I will put a link in here. http://www.toy-museum.co.uk . I am sure there are many others who think of a toy or doll once lost, I am just thankful that I was one of the lucky ones and pleased to know that there are nice ,kind people in the world. (obviously I mean all you Sasha addicts too!!.)

Frido/Trendon produced sixteen Sasha babies during there production years.  The first babies were produced in 1970; they were sexed babies. The boys had blonde hair and the girls were brunette's; the early babies also had raised eyelids, after 1978 all babies were non-sexed..
